Zoo

As Jason and I, along with my sister Cindy, pulled up to 4 overflowing huge dumpsters backed up to a chain link fence with a pad-locked gate, I started singing to myself, "Cuz I got friends in loooooow places....." And while there wasn't any whiskey and beer to chase my blues away, there were plenty of camels, giraffes and zebras! My brother works at World Wildlife Zoo, and was more than happy to hook us up with free passes! It was great! I think this zoo is hands down better than Phoenix Zoo. You can really get close to the animals, and see them! They have an aquarium now, where the kids can pet the sting rays, starfish and a few other slimy things.

Caleb ate way too much the day before our zoo trip at Easter dinner, and didn't ration any of his egg hunt loot. So in the middle of the night he lost it. All of it. What good is a family trip if someone doesn't vomit at some point? So consequentially, he wasn't feeling too great on our adventure. The only time Caleb really smiled ear to ear was at the petting zoo. He instantly hit it off with a lama! Our cousin Hunter, unfortunately, was bit on the back by a goat! Aah, good times!
