There's a water hole by our house that freezes over in winter. We really wanted to go out when there was still snow on the ground, but didn't have the time. So bright and early New Year's Day we went to check it out. Jason was the "tester", so brave, and walked out to make sure it was strong enough. Lucky for him, nothing happened. We set the kids loose and they had a blast. Wyatt was pretty timid about it, Emily couldn't stay on her feet for more than a few seconds and Caleb and Brooklyn kicked a ball back and forth while running and doing "baseball slides". As the morning warmed up Jason had to get off the ice (notice the giant crack under his feet) and it just got slipperier (is that a word?) and slippier! It was a ton of fun!
