Wy Guy's Shiner

I just finished unloading the dishwasher with the kids. I went into my room to waste a few minutes on the computer. Emily and Wyatt are laughing in the kitchen. Caleb and Brooklyn are trying to convince me we need to have a Koolaide stand. We here a crash, silence, then crying. I run to see what happened. Wyatt's bleeding badly from his eye. The two little ones had pulled out the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Somehow Wyatt tripped face down into it and landed on one of those pokey things that hold up the plates. He was bleeding like crazy, crying and wiping his eyes. So now blood is EVERYWHERE! I don't handle that stuff well when it's my own children and I was really concerned about how close the bleeding was to his eye. When he finally calmed down, I was able to clean him up a bit. The swelling was instant! There was blood all over the dishwasher rack, and his sweet brother and sisters were pretty worried. I called my sis for some "mother of boys and ER visits" advice, it was still hard to tell how deep the wound was. Jason came home and gave a much better examination (wince), and we decided that he would be fine. It's healing quickly, and Wyatt has loved the attention he gets when we go places! What a tough little guy!
This was the day it happened.

This was 3 days after.

Remember Spencer 11 month shiner? I think TJ is secretly proud to have delivered it and had it stay around for so long.
