5 Years

It's the official anniversary of our moving to Taylor. I can't decide if I want to say five looooong years or five short years. It still doesn't feel permanent to me and we both consider Mesa "home". We've made some great friends, many who moved of course, and have had some amazing experiences. Here are just a few of the highs and lows in a nutshell:

-We arrive, it's cold and windy. New furniture wasn't in yet, so we had no places to sit for 3 weeks.

-No T.V. Our budget wasn't ready to start paying for satellite, so 12 months went by without it.

-No raise. Jason was promised a raise when he transferred up here, that took another 10 months to come thru.

-No family. I missed my mom and sisters.

-No family. We were finally away from the in-laws!!!

-Jason was called to Young Men's President, again.

-Jason's work kept sending him out of town. I was very lonely.

-Made some friends.

-Got scholarship for the community college.

-Got pregnant.

-Called to be Relief Society President.

-Declined the scholarship.

-Miscarriage.

-Started teaching piano lessons.

-Life started getting very busy.

-Horse, chickens, kittens.

-Barn construction begins.

-I miss shopping. Online just isn't the same.

-We're planting trees and a garden.

-We get to know some of the really nice people up here.

-We get to deal with some of the Taylor Trailer people up here!

-Jason makes gun friends.

-Jason misses rock crawling.

-Family and friends come up for visits and it's tons of fun!

-Emily arrives on a snowy day.

-I ask to be released!

-Life is good!

-Things slow down a little.

-The great Suburban roll over happens on an icy highway.

-Jason and I realize that moving up here has made our relationship so much stronger.

-Called to Young Womens president.

-Fun trips to Cali.

-We add cabinets to kitchen!

-Girls camp at a ward level.

-Another Halloween party.

-Jason's sister and family move into our ward.

-Ward is split!

-Wyatt arrives on a snowy day!

-Wyatt has surgery at Phoenix Childrens.

-We are so blessed.

-Life is good.

-We get a camp trailer.

-Jason retires the yellow jeep.

-Two kids go off to school.

-We are happy :)
