Porter's Blessing

Baby Porter was blessed on Sunday, October 10th, 2010. It was a beautiful day, everything went really well. We had almost the entire family from both sides here. The only people who were missing was my mom and her husband Glenn, they were still serving their mission in SLC, so it was a pretty good excuse, and my brother Andy and his two kids. He never gave me his excuse.
I cannot put into words what it felt like to have all that love and support from our families. Having all those people come to our tiny home in the mountains was such a blessing and a reminder that we are not alone. It's chaotic, loud,and occasionally weird when we bring the two families together, but it's all worth it! I'm so glad that my kids get to have relationships with their aunts, uncles, and cousins!
Porter's blessing was so sweet and unique! I've cried harder with each baby. He was blessed with many things, especially regarding his future as a missionary and leader. It sure makes me feel honored to be a steward for this special little spirit.
