We got back to my sistas house and Jason offered to watch the kids so we could go out to lunch. What a sweetie! By some miracle, all of my brothers and sisters were free at the same time! I think this was a first in our lifetime as siblings. Nobody else, just "us". We met up at Gecko's, and had a blast! This last year has held a ton of drama for everyone. From careers, kids, cash, cancer and everything in between, we've experienced quite a bit. It was so nice to just sit and hang out. Mike probably offended the surrounding tables when he yelled, "Hey Janet show us your nipple!" not once, but four (4) times. But hey, that's us!
The older I get (which isn't much) and the more sagas I learn about other families, I realize that my family has one divine quality amongst many weaknesses and faults. I wouldn't trade it for anything, and it sets us apart from many. It's unconditional love. Unconditional love requires charity, forgiveness, and empathy. That's what sat around this obnoxious and noisy table for six.
