Easter Sunday

We celebrated Easter Sunday in Mesa, it was such a treat! The past 3 years we stayed home and hooked up with the Hulse's, so it had been awhile since we had spent Easter with the fam.

We went to church at Jason's mother's ward, I left after sacrament meeting and had a really nice visit with my Grandad. He was in the hospital after hitting his head from a seizure. Four staples! The day before, my sister gave him flowers with a card that read "A bonk on the head, we're glad you're not dead!" My family has a great sense of humor!

When I got back to the church at the end of the block, Jason and his bro Randon were shooting the breeze in the parking lot. They inform me that the in-laws took my kids out of primary and drove them to their house. I was a little annoyed. This messed up my lemonade-making back at my sister's house.

So, after a brief visit with the in-laws, we headed over to Cindy's for dinner and a Easter egg hunt. We arrived before any of the others, so we got the Wii to ourselves! This is dang fun to us country folk! There were over 220 eggs, and the two 10 year old cousins decided they were too old for the hunt. This made the odds of treasure pretty out of this world for the little ones!

We were missing some people this year. Grandma Pom Pom and Grandpa Glenn are serving their mission in Salt Lake, my nephew T.J. is serving in Detroit, Nephew Danny and his wife were at the hospital, brother Ben in Cali, and brother Andy living it up somewhere after working at the zoo all day! With so many missing, it's still loud and chaotic. And somehow, most of the food still gets swallowed up!

I love spending such a day with those that matter most. Easter is for our Savior, Jesus Christ. He gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have eternal happiness. My happiness is a big blond dude with glasses, and four amazing children!

While waiting for the bunny to do his thing, I had the pleasure of leading the kids around the yard doing the bunny hop! After that, they had a game of "Sherry Says".

Wyatt would not pose for the camera. He quickly figured out that sweet things were in those plastic eggs, and that he could fit almost three Starburst in his mouth at once!
