Happy Birthday Emily!

Emily is just so darn cute! She got her princess birthday cake, but didn't really like the re-lighting candles. We can't believe she's 3! She is such a funny little girl, and always makes us laugh. Emily has a hard time saying words that start with "F". So fish is bish, food is bood, and friend is brend. You had to be there is Sacrament meeting, when she took her shoes off and put them on my lap. I knew she wanted me to rub her feet, but everyone else heard her yell, "Wub my butt! Wub my two butts!" Ward members still had the music stand incident fresh in their minds, so she's getting quite the reputation at church! Emily is all about friends right now. Mom's her friend, Dad's her friend, if she's mad at you...."'You're not mine brend!" When she goes to sleep, she has to gather a collection of friends to stay by her. This can be anything; airplanes, stuffed animals, you get the idea. She can count to twelve, which she's very proud of. When she wakes up, her hair is wild. we call it jungle girl hair. Now she likes to point out when she sees someone with jungle girl hair. This was really funny when her Grandma was here to visit, complete with disheveled hairpiece. "Grandma Johnson, you have jungle girl hair!"
I could go on and on about all the things Emily does and says that we just think is so sweet and adorable. So call me if you want to hear more! We love her and can't imagine family life without her! Here are a few of my favorite pics of Emily from the last year:

Emily and Grandpa Glen on the 4th of July.

She was so mad at her daddy after he threw a fish back in the water, once they caught it. This big succor was just for Emmers! She was so proud!

We went on several camping trips last summer. Any place near water was like heaven to Emily.

Emily is copying Brooklyn. Dancing outside on a breezy day!

This is Emily and her BFF Caymen. He moved away and she still talks about him!

Special "bairy wings"

We have several types of these photos. During the monsoon season, the kids would run out to play as soon as the rain let up. Emily would find and catch horny toads and frogs. The first few times my 2 1/2 year old showed her critters to me, I was shocked! It became hysterical! She was very sad when all the little slimy and scaly things went away in the fall.
