Halloween!

Friday was our fourth annual trunk-or-treat party at our house. The first one we did in 2005, as a result of sweet Bishop Webber saying absolutely no to any ward sponsored Halloween parties. The houses are so far apart too, so regular trick-or-treating isn't very practical with little kids. This year, our new ward, was more than happy to participate. We had several dozen corn bread muffins and lots of pots of chili. The weather was alot warmer this year, forcing me to put on some shorts so I wouldn't overheat in my 14-year-old pumpkin costume! The only bummers were: I never seem to take enough time out to get some really good pictures, Jason kept on disappearing into the barn with some of the other fathers, and we ran out of cotton candy stuff before I got to really pig out on some! The kids had so much fun! Caleb actually spent so much time playing with his friends, that he didn't get that much candy. Wyatt just wanted ti crawl in the dirt and eat everything, while Emily proudly pranced around in her kitty costume. (Which for awhile, she insisted she was a mouse!) Brooklyn got the most candy and was so sweet to share it with me and Jason. I love that she gives us the stuff she thinks is yucky. I remember not liking Babyruth, Almond Joy, Whoppers, and a few other chocolate things when I was young. Now, I can't get enough! I'm sure in time, Brooklyn won't be so willing to give up the chocolate treats!
